What the world needs now….

Before this year, I never watched the news. I loathed it because I thought it was so boring to watch someone talk. I’ve watched as many debates as I could this year, almost to make up for all the debates I missed in the past few years. With help from those debates, I’ve concluded that people don’t watch the news before they vote. Obama is a hypocrite. I can’t really voice my opinion on issues yet because I’m not experienced in business, finance, and world issues yet. Even so, I’ve heard him say one thing in one debate and say something completely different in the next. I’m scared where he’s going to lead this country. At this point in time, our country is in a financial crisis. Any small incident could send us spiraling into a black hole, a black hole where the destination is beyond any one’s control or knowledge.

If you look back in history, Franklin D. Roosevelt was credited with ‘ending’ the Great Depression. It isn’t so. Roosevelt was just a person in the right place at the right time. World War I provided many jobs, steadied salaries, and gave people a reason to join together to obtain an objective.

I’m afraid that Barrack Obama is not the person that will bring us out of this recession. There’s a lot of people that don’t want to embrace this, but there will be a time when they will have to.  George Bush was liked in the beginning as well, and look what he did. Who knows, maybe I’m wrong about Obama. I hope I am actually. I hope that he takes us out of this recession, guides the country in a better direction, and actually cares about the people that he effects. I regrettably just don’t think it’s so. :(
